CliniClue API Workshop

The CliniClue^® Browser is a freeware product that can be used to review SNOMED CT^®. CliniClue^® includes a powerful API that can be used to provide programmatic access to SNOMED CT data from various Windows^® applications.

This hands on workshop explains the ways in which the CliniClue^® API can be used from Microsoft Word^®, Excel^®, Access^® and from web applications.

Attendees should have attended at least the SNOMED CT Foundation Course and will get more out of the workshop if they have also attended the SNOMED CT Advanced Course. Prior experience of simple software programming is highly recommended and experience of using Microsoft Office^® macros (VBA^®) would be particularly useful - though not essential.

This workshop includes practical exercises and attendees are required to bring laptop computers with Microsoft Office and CliniClue^® installed.

The outline below indicates the full range of possible topics. The workshop will be fine-tuned to meet specific requirements by focusing on some of these topics in details and omitting areas that attendees have already covered. For example, if all attendees are proficient in the general use of CliniClue^® or have previously attended the Using CliniClue to Explore SNOMED CT workshop, more time can be spent on detailed API examples.
